Paul Lake is in the BC Interior, northeast of Kamloops. PCE provided excavation for Matcon Environmental on the upgrade of the dam at the lake’s outlet.
The photos from site show the whole project around PCE’s excavators: digging beside the creek, large corrugated pipe going in, steel sheet-pile walls holding back the ground, concrete walls and precast girders set by crawler crane, and rock armouring placed along the banks.
Working next to water
Jobs like this run under environmental conditions: isolating the work from the creek, controlling sediment, and keeping machines clean and fuelled away from the water. It is the same discipline PCE brings to creek restoration and fisheries work.
